Findask, 80s Scottish duo featuring Willie Lindsay (Born Glasgow, Scotland; vocals, guitar, flute, whistles, harmonica), and Stuart Campbell (Born Glasgow, Scotland; cittern, bouzouki, guitar, mandolin, vocals).

The two met at University, in Glasgow, and started playing music occasionally at student venues, building a substantial support and local following for their distinctive new songs. This brought opportunities to play support at festivals and concerts to groups such as: Battlefield Band; Gallagher and Lylle; and Fairport Convention.

Immediate and strong interest shown in Findask’s first limited edition album: Near Enough, Far Enough (1983), led them to release a second collection of songs: Between The White Lines, on Temple Records, six months later. This second collection also included all original material performed within a traditional framework and again received positive critical acclaim, and substantial sales within the folk music sector. The positive reviews and popularity of their songs lead to regular radio broadcasts and introduced Findask to a wider UK  and USA audience.

Lindsay and Campbell formed a productive partnership writing their own new songs and music, and producing several albums of distinctive original tracks which according to a contemporary review in the News of Delaware County (Pennsylvania, USA), successfully “manage to evoke Scotland without being parochially Scottish”
